Etching Workshop – Cork

ATAI Cork Branch are delighted to announce that they are holding an Etching workshop with artist Fiona Kelly on November 7th, 7-9pm at Cork Education and Support Centre.

Over the course of two hours, workshop participants will be introduced to the technique of dry point etching. Dry point is known as one of the most accessible printmaking techniques for beginners as it is a quick and enjoyable way to create imagery. In this class we will play with other intaglio printmaking tricks such as top rolling and chine colie. Drypoint may appear simple, but the medium holds a myriad of potential for profound expression for artists, creatives and educators of any experience

What each participant will need:

An image or drawing approximating A5 or (16.6cm x 17.5 cm to be exact) and an old shirt or apron.
