This new venture which brings blockbuster art exhibitions from galleries around the world to cinemas. The upcoming season of EXHIBITION ON SCREEN follows the success of previous titles Leonardo Live from the National Gallery London, Manet from the Royal Academy of Art London and Munch from the Munch Museum and National Gallery Oslo. These special cinema events screened to over 1000 cinemas across more than 30 countries.
EXHIBITION ON SCREEN Season 2 features five titles released from October 2014 through to MAY 2015. In addition to covering the exhibitions’ paintings, the films take audiences behind the scenes to discover what lies behind the exhibition creatively and technically and what the artwork revealed about the artist and the particular historical period.
Filmed exclusively for cinemas at the exhibitions and on locations this ground breaking series allows art lovers worldwide to enjoy, marvel and delight at the works of some of history’s greatest ever painters on the big screen, in stunning high definition.
