Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS) is a teaching method designed to enable learners to develop aesthetic and language literacy and critical thinking skills. With online teaching in mind, Kathryn is selecting images aimed at the Irish School Curriculum from both European and American image banks. These images will transfer well into any second level art class.
Kathryn Maguire is an Artist and freelance artist, educator and curator. She holds a BA in Fine Art from CCAD and MA in Art in the Contemporary World from NCAD. Her practice engages text, sculpture, video, installation; making diverse cultural references linking the past with contemporary, seeking to highlight potentiality in historic moments. Increasingly, her work engages processes of making informed by her earlier training as jewellery maker and sculptor.
